522.25, ahead of Russia's Illya Zakharov (silver) and teammate Kai Qin (bronze).

Back in the day, there were two national championship events that were held at distinct times and were given distinct names: Indoor Nationals and Outdoor Nationals. It was pretty obvious during that time that the Indoor Nationals were held when, for most of the nation, the event had to be conducted inside.
