Grand Ledge High School senior Ola Hendler signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Saginaw Valley State University and be a member of the SVSU women's track and field team. Ola was a four-year varsity letter winner for the Comets.

The Suzanne Buche Cancer Awareness Memorial Tournament is set for its eighth year on Saturday. This year's high school teams participating are Portland, Grand Ledge, Owosso, and Reed City The tournament begins at 9 a.m. at Portland High School.
