6-under 66 on Sunday for a seven-stroke victory -- the largest margin on the 50-and-over tour this
year.
Fred Couples made a birdie putt on the final hole to win the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic by
one stroke, capping an impressive showing at the 50-and-older Champions Tour event.

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- The Champions Tour returns to Michigan next week for the Senior PGA Championship and will christen a new Jack Nicklaus design -- the Golf Club at Harbor Shores -- as a major championship venue.
The Champions Tour is idle until the first major of the season, the Senior PGA Championship at The Golf Club at Harbor Shores in Benton Harbor, Mich., May 21-27. The purse is $2 million with the winner receiving double Charles Schwab Cup points. Last year, Tom Watson defeated David Eger at the first extra hole of a sudden-death playoff to claim the title and become the oldest winner of a major championship since the Champions Tour began in 1980.
