OKLAHOMA CITY - Lubbock Christian and Oklahoma City University will compete for a spot in the NAIA World Series starting Thursday at Jim Wade Stadium in the NAIA Championship Opening Round Oklahoma City Bracket.
Third-ranked OCU, No. 19 Lubbock Christian, Mount Marty (S.D.), Sterling (Kan.) and York (Neb.) make up the teams in the double-elimination baseball tournament. The championship is set for 2:30 p.m. Saturday with an if-necessary game scheduled noon Monday, May 14.

Oklahoma Baptist will play in its second NAIA Opening
Round Tournament, beginning Thursday, in Hutchinson, Kan.
OBU, at 46-12, will be the top seed in the tournament
that also includes Rogers State (41-14), Tabor (41-13), Judson (46-12) and
Dakota State (28-26). The Bison are ranked seventh in the final NAIA poll,
while Judson is 17th, Rogers State 23rd and Tabor 30th.
Dakota State is not ranked.

Oklahoma Baptist moved into the winner's bracket final of the NAIA Opening Round Tournament with a 10-6 win over host Tabor Thursday in Hutchinson, Kan.Daniel Baptista added four RBI to his team-leading total (now at 79) and the Bison overcame a rough sixth inning. OBU will play Rogers State at 2:30 p.m., Friday, with the winner advancing to the championship game.

OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma City University buried Mount Marty (S.D.) 12-3 behind five home runs Thursday at Jim Wade Stadium in the NAIA Baseball Championship Opening Round Oklahoma City Bracket.
Kale Gaden hammered two homers, while Miguel Beltran pounded his nation-high 25th homer for OCU. The third-ranked Stars improved to 44-9.

OKLAHOMA CITY - Games originally scheduled for Friday in the NAIA Baseball Championship Opening Round Oklahoma City Bracket have been postponed due to inclement weather.
No. 19-ranked Lubbock Christian will take on York (Neb.) at 11 a.m., while third-ranked Oklahoma City University faces 25th-ranked Sterling (Kan.) at 2:30 p.m., then Mount Marty (S.D.) meets the winner of the early game at 6 p.m., all games Saturday at Jim Wade Stadium.

OKLAHOMA CITY (May 12, 2012) - No.19 Lubbock Christian University collected their first win in the Oklahoma City bracket of the NAIA National Championship Opening Round, as Karl Seiter went 4-for-4 with three runs-batted-in and pitcher Tyler Rogers completed his ninth complete game of the season in a 6-2 victory to eliminate York College (Neb.) Saturday afternoon. The win places LCU in an elimination game at 6 p.m. Saturday evening against Mount Marty College.
