The University of Florida women's golf team finished the first round of the NCAA East Regional in third place with a six-over 294. The No. 12 Gators were led by their two seniors, Evan Jensen (Belleair, Fla.) and Andrea Watts (Bradenton, Fla.), who both shot even par during the first round at the Penn State Blue Course in State College, Pa.

The No.12 University of Florida women's golf team carded a nine-over 297, giving them back-to-back solid rounds at the NCAA East Regional in State College, Pa. The Gators, who have a tournament total of 591 (+15), held steady as they will begin the third round in the same position as they began the second, in third place.

The No.12 University of Florida women's golf team will advance to the NCAA Championships for the second consecutive year after finishing in a tie for fourth at the NCAA East Regional in State College, Pa. The Gators posted a tournament total of 879 (294-297-288, +15) on their way to their best finish at a NCAA Regional tournament since 2008.

The No. 12 University of Florida women's golf team is traveling to Franklin, Tenn. to make its second consecutive appearance at the NCAA Championship May 22-25. It's the first back-to-back appearance for the Gators since 2006. UF finished tied for 10th last year in head coach Jan Dowling's first appearance at the NCAA Championship. The Gators, who have played their best golf as of late, look to build on their recent success in at the Vanderbilt Legends Course.

UF, who finished with a 1190 (302-293-297-298, +38), has now recorded consecutive top-15 finishes at the NCAA Championship for the first time since 2006. Junior Isabelle Lendl (Goshen, Conn.) shot a six-under, 66, to pace the entire field on the final day at the Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tenn.
