One day after three well-known backcountry skiers died in a large avalanche outside the boundary of Washington's Stevens Pass ski area, their friends and colleagues planned vigils to celebrate their lives. Jim Jack, Chris Rudolph and John Brenan -- all of whom had deep ties to Stevens Pass -- perished in the slide Sunday afternoon.
