Seniors Harrison Freid and Harry Kutner have been selected to take part in the annual USILA/LAXWORLD North-South Game on Friday, May 25 at Harvard Stadium, Harvard University.

Sean Hagan worked 7.1 innings of two-run ball and Jimmy Brennan finished 3-for-4 with two RBI as St. John's defeated Seton Hall, 6-3, to advance to the BIG EAST Championship Semifinals for the third-straight season.

Following a breakout sophomore season, the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) has named Kieran McArdle an Honorable Mention All-American at the attack position.

QUEENS, N.Y. (May 21, 2012)-- St. John's men's golf alumnus Joe Saladino won the prestigious Walter J. Travis Invitational on Sunday to add to an already impressive amateur resume for the former Red Storm standout.

After finishing tied atop the BIG EAST standings to secure its conference-record seventh regular season crown, St. John's (33-21), which earned the No. 2 seed by virtue of a tiebreaker with Louisville, opens play in the 2012 BIG EAST Championship at Bright House Field in Clearwater, Fla., at 1 p.m. on May 23 against No. 7 seed Notre Dame (29-25) in a matchup of the two most storied programs in the history of BIG EAST baseball.

St. John's, which won its conference-record seventh BIG EAST regular season title after posting an 18-9 mark to finish tied with Louisville atop the conference standings, has earned the No. 2 seed in the upcoming BIG EAST Championship and will open postseason play against seventh-seeded Notre Dame at 1 p.m. on May 23.

St. John's rallied back from an early 3-0 deficit to take a 4-3 lead in the sixth inning, but was defeated by Seton Hall, 5-4, in 11 innings and earned a share of the 2012 BIG EAST regular season crown. The regular season title is the seventh for St. John's (2012, 2008, 2007, 2005, 1992, 1991 & 1987) and fourth with head coach Ed Blankmeyer at the helm.

After a Jeremy Baltz leadoff triple in the 12th innings set the stage, Zach Lauricella plated the game-winning run with a walk-off single to give St. John's a 5-4 win against Seton Hall.
