The No. 4 Ohio State rowing team's Second Varsity Eight and First Varsity Four will contend for gold medals at the 2012 NCAA Division I Championships after posting impressive times in their respective semifinal races Saturday on Lake Mercer in West Windsor, N.J.

The No. 22 Ohio State women's track and field team wrapped up day two of the 2012 NCAA East Regional Prelims with Shaniqua McGinnis and Nyjah Cousar both qualifying for nationals.

With one round left to play, the No. 20 Ohio State women's golf team is currently in 23rd after 54-holes at the 2012 NCAA Championship. Chipping in a third round score of 305, the Buckeyes total 915 at the par 72, 6,377/6,264-yard Vanderbilt legends Golf Club in Franklin, Tenn.

Ohio State senior defenseman Joe Bonanni and junior attackman Logan Schuss have both been named third team All-Americans by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA), the organization announced Thursday. Both were first team All-ECAC honorees in 2012, with Schuss picking up league offensive player of the year accolades.

Keenan Ochwat, a senior defenseman on the Ohio State men's lacrosse team, has been chosen to participate in the USILA/LaxWorld Division I-II North/South Game, set for 5:30 p.m. Friday at Harvard Stadium in Boston.

This will be the second Olympic Games for Shumway, who also rowed stroke for the women's quadruple sculls in the 2008 games in Beijing.
