Former Quinnipiac University men’s basketball standout James Feldeine (New York, N.Y.) has extended his stay over in Spain, as the 6-foot-4 guard has signed a new contract with Club Baloncesto Fuenlabrada. Feldeine enjoyed two seasons with Leche Rio Breogan Lugo, but announced on Monday, May 21, 2012 that he will wear new colors for the next three years.

Quinnipiac field hockey senior Nicole Lewis (Amherst, N.Y.) was honored by Quinnipiac University’s School of Health Science as the student with the top grade-point-average in the physical therapy program. Lewis carried a cumulative GPA of 3.96 in four years at Quinnipiac. In Fall 2012, Lewis will enroll in Quinnipiac’s Physical Therapy Doctoral program, while also suiting up for the Bobcats for her final year of eligibility.
The 21st Annual Bill Mecca Roundball Golf Outing was played on May 17, 2012, with an all-time best 300 golfers participating in the event. The tournament, founded by Senior Associate Director of Athletics Bill Mecca in 1991, began at 11 a.m. at Laurel View Country Club in Hamden, Conn. and The Tradition Golf Club in Wallingford, Conn. and culminated with a BBQ and Live Auction on the Mt. Campus of Quinnipiac University.
