The Winston-Salem Dash led off three consecutive innings with a home run, and held on late for a 7-5 win over the Carolina Mudcats Friday night at Five County Stadium. A crowd of 4,884 saw the Mudcats (22-24) nearly overcome a six-run deficit.
The Montgomery Biscuits scored four runs in the first inning on Friday night at Riverwalk Stadium, and never looked back. Montgomery (25-23) won the third game of the set, 6-1 over the Generals (28-20). The Biscuits lead the series 2-1. The Generals maintain their two-game lead in the North Division, despite the loss.
