Weatherford, Okla. -- Lindsay Dusin registered double-figures in kills, assists and digs to lead the NCAA D-II Southwestern Oklahoma State University Bulldogs to a 3-0 win over the Mid-America Christian University Lady Evangels in non-conference action Tuesday night (Oct. 11) in Weatherford, Okla.
The Lady Evangels (5-16, 1-6 SAC) fell behind 20-11 in the first set but rallied with seven straight points to come within two.
But the Bulldogs captured the set with five of the last seven points to take it 25-20 on a kill by LaKendra Sanders.
MACU grabbed an early 5-3 lead in the second set, only to have the Bulldogs explode for a 10-1 spurt on the strength of four kills by Adriana Rodriguez to go up 13-6. SWOSU went on to take the second set by a commanding 25-15 tally.
Down 2-0, the Lady Evangels hung around in a competitive third set and came within 23-22 on a kill by Becca Anderson.
The Lady Evangels would come up just short though as consecutive points by the Bulldogs gave them the clinching set, 25-22.
Rene' Crockett led MACU with six kills and Calle Solie had a team-high 14 assists. Becca Anderson continued her strong play with five kills and only one error. Over her last three matches, Anderson has amassed 16 kills against only one error.
Dusin led the way for the Bulldogs (6-9) with 13 kills, 16 assists and 10 digs. Callie Martin had a match-high 20 assists.
The Lady Evangels will next play at John Brown on Thursday night (Oct. 13) at 7 p.m. in Siloam Springs, Ark.
